A lucid explanation of how to contain floats

Eric A. Meyer, consultant and standards evangelist, also explains the intricacies of design with Cascading Style Sheets better than almost anyone else I know.

His new article explains how to contain floated objects in the elements that surround them. I just tinkered way too long with a design that had this problem, only to leave it working thanks to a much less elegant solution than Eric provides.

So this is worthy reading, design friends.
