Alex Robinson goes In Search of the One True Layout -- and, mostly, finds it.

His demonstrations cover simple CSS-based designs for multicolumn layouts where the order of the columns in the document hardly matters. And they run across the browser gamut, too, except -- whoops -- newer Firefox and Camino browsers have a newly introduced bug.

Still, this one deserves reading, watching and learning.
