From an e-mail message I received today, reposted with permission:

"I've been a longtime user of the Moock 'FPI' for doing detects and redirects when using Flash content. It works similarly to the one you describe, but can redirect to a new page or show alternate content; I use the noscript attribute to give reasonably alternative content.

"It can be a tricky beast, and I've had somewhat erratic results reported by my Mac-using colleagues, but generally it does what I need it to.

"Thanks for producing such an informative and nicely-written newsletter. I'll be forwarding this one, because of the concise description of the JavaScript link problem, to some of my colleagues (instructors and developers/designers both).

"Sincerely,

"Elaine Nelson, Web Manager, Pierce College District 11"
