Small Initiatives provides executive consulting services in two industries:

Banks, credit unions and other financial institutions: Focus areas include growth strategies, operations and marketing. This practice is led by Ka Small, a veteran executive with more than 20 years experience in banking.
Internet design, content and commerce: Focus areas include online user experience, usability, organic search optimization, graphic design, XHTML/CSS, and holistic site development using the Drupal framework. This practice is led by Jay Small, a respected leader and longtime executive in the interactive media industry.

SI began as a graphic design and creative services consultancy in 1993. Since then, its principals have expanded and enhanced SI's practice specialties through years of professional hands-on and management experience.

Ka Small is a visionary senior executive with more than 20 years of experience as a consultant or manager with financial services companies with $125 million to $3 billion in assets. Ms. Small helped those companies realize asset growth ranging from $100,000 to more than $25 million.

Her roles have encompassed branch operations, lending, marketing/branding, business development/sales, strategic planning, financial analysis and forecasting, software development and implementation, and product development.

As a Principal of Small Initiatives, Inc., Ms. Small focuses on working with the client to discover and implement innovative solutions that result in a customer-centric organization and deliver out of the box strategies for people, process and technology.
